Boots come and go every season. In Summer we see the open toed, stiletto heels shining through, and in Winter we tend to steer clear of open-anything in preperation for those colder Wellington days. Boots are fabulous in that you really can make them work for any occasion, any outfit and any style. The key is changing up what you wear them with and trying a new style. A new colour, a new shape, a new heel or maybe all 3. Our favourite boot you can always count on, is the black boot with a thick heel. Comfy? Yes. Fashionable? Absolutely. The black boot will go with anything from stockings and your favourite dress, to jeans and a leather jacket, right to work pants, a blouse and a blazer. If you're game, try the hot pink patent boots newly released from Merchant 1948. We loved them so much, we couldn't pass by the opportunity to include them in our Winter 18 photoshoot and what a treat they are. In this bhind the scenes shot below, our model wears a grey based outfit perfect for the colder days, but teamed with Merchant's hot pink boots, it really does lift the outfit to something straight from a magazine, and all it took was a statement boot.
